Name:Witold Weiner
Bio:

I am a Product Security Engineer at Adtran Networks and an M.Sc. student in Computer Science at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, Poland. My background combines industry experience in large-scale, cloud-native and telecom systems with academic research in software and system engineering.

Professionally, I work in R&D environments at the intersection of product security, DevSecOps, and cloud system management, focusing on vulnerability assessment and the integration of security practices into complex software development and deployment pipelines. Experience in operating and managing distributed systems has shaped my interest in reliability, security, and automation in modern cloud- and DevOps-driven environments.

My research interests include mining software repositories, software and system engineering, vulnerability lifecycle analysis, cloud computing, DevOps and DevSecOps, product security, and software testing in large-scale systems. I am particularly interested in the Linux kernel and open-source ecosystems, and in understanding how vulnerabilities are introduced, evolve, and are fixed over time.
