Name:Muhammad Imran
Bio:

I am a researcher in Software Engineering currently based in Italy. I hold a Ph.D. in Information and Communication Technologies from the University of L’Aquila, where my research focused on automating performance problem detection in software systems through empirical methods, machine learning, and large language models (LLMs). My work explores the relationship between source code features and performance behavior, spanning performance test coverage analysis, LLM-based performance bug detection, and method-level energy modeling in Java. It integrates static code analysis, dynamic profiling, and predictive modeling.

In addition to research, I taught undergraduate computer science and software engineering courses for over seven years at two universities, covering subjects such as Software Engineering, Programming (Java, C++), Requirements Engineering, Web and Mobile Application Development, and Design Patterns.
