Bio:

Ana Moreira is a Full Professor at the Computer Science Department of FCT NOVA, Portugal. She is a member of the Steering Committee of NOVA LINCS research laboratory and leads the Software Engineering group. Her expertise spans requirements engineering, human factors in software engineering, software architecture design, and sustainability engineering, with research focused on systematic software engineering approaches that capture and integrate stakeholder requirements, human values, and quality attributes into sustainable solutions.

She co-founded the international pUML (preciseUML) and Early Aspects initiatives, advancing modelling techniques and early phases of software engineering. Ana has served in key organisational roles for major conferences (e.g., ICSE, MODELS, RE, ICSA), including steering committee member/chair (UML/MODELS, RE, REFSQ, ECSA), and PC Chair across multiple venues (e.g., MODELS, SAC-RE, ICT4S, RE, REFSQ, ECSA).

Ana is a member of the International Requirements Engineering Board (IREB) Council Board and has served on the editorial boards of leading journals, including IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering (TSE), Requirements Engineering, and Software and Systems Modeling (SoSyM). Her work has received multiple Best Paper Awards and two 10-Year Most Influential Paper Awards.
